Social Events
LKM events are shaped by member participation.
If there is an activity you would like to see, let us know. We welcome suggestions, volunteers, and members who are willing to help organise future events.
What kinds of social events does LKM organise?
LKM organises a variety of social events throughout the year, including family days, religious talks, and community gathering.
How will I know about upcoming events?
Upcoming events will be announced through LKM's communication channels, including WhatsApp broadcasts, and social media platforms.
Do I need to register for events?
Yes. Registration is usually required as event capacity, venue size, and logistical arrangements may be limited.
Can my family members attend?
This depends on the event. Details of eligible participants will be stated in the event announcement.
Why do I need to pay for an event when I already pay monthly membership fees?
Membership fees support LKM's overall operations, member benefits, welfare schemes, and activities throughout the year. Event fees help offset the costs of specific events, such as venue rental, meals, transport, and programme expenses.
Any fee charged is typically nominal and helps ensure that registered participants are committed to attending the event.
Why doesn't LKM organise more social events?
LKM is always looking for opportunities to organise meaningful activities for members. However, the number and variety of events each year depend on member interest and participation. Strong support encourages more events to be organised.
Why doesn't LKM organise activities such as football matches or other sports events?
LKM relies on volunteers to help plan and run many of its activities. If there is a particular event you would like to see, we welcome members to come forward and help spearhead the initiative. You may express your interest through your LKM Representative or by contacting LKM (opens in new tab) directly
